Evolutionary Anomaly Class: Temporal/Spatial Flight - the ability to propel himself through the air. Nathan is capable of flying at supersonic speeds; a side-effect of his abilities includes a limited degree of protection from extremes of temperature and atmospheric pressure as well as the ability to perceive his surroundings while flying at such speeds. Nathan can fly to altitudes of 30,000 feet or more for at least short periods without serious discomfort. He can also merely hover above the ground instead of actually flying. |

| Nathan Petrelli is ambitious and pragmatic. His nickname of the Flying Shark back from his days piloting a fighter plane for the U.S. Navy is quite apt. While his family is quietly on the receiving end of his protective and defensive nature, this cynical politician has little compassion for any who threaten or insult them. When he wants something, he is going to get it, no matter who tries to get in his away. Any deemed his enemies are nearly ritualistically taken apart piece by piece, with no mercy and utter ruthlessness. Cynical in nature, he is not easily swayed by anything other than hard evidence and logic. The one exception is his younger brother, Peter. Peter is his weakness, as well as his conscious, as much as Nathan would deny it. While their father made sure his displeasure with everything Nathan did, no matter how much he drove himself into the ground to prove himself, fell far short of the mark, Nathan continued with nearly violent tenacity in his mission to prove himself. Anything childish or innocent was squashed down ruthlessly in the process, leaving much of his feelings that could be labeled as his original nature, nearly completely repressed. Being his ally is a highly valuable and enviable position to be in. Any others better get the hell out of his way if they want to survive. |
